I think we need to revive this group a little bit so I'm posting my dinner dish from tonight. It is dry roasted pig slices with white potatoes and parsley sauce. It is a very traditional and popular dish in my country. Very tasty... Mmmmm :)

I just joined up. I'd like to state up-front that I have nothing against vegetarians or vegans. After all, cows are vegetarians. :-)

No, seriously . . . as long as they don't attempt to lay a guilt trip on me, I don't care what others eat. Livestock should be raised and slaughtered as humanely as possible, of course, but once they're slaughtered, I don't care if their hides become my belt or shoes. If I'm going to eat them, wearing them doesn't seem half as bad.

I love salad but I also love Fat Burger's Kingburger with cheese. If I'm hungry (and alone), I might even order a double. Remember Cypher in the movie, "The Matrix"?

Last time I checked, I was human. Humans are evolved as hunter gatherers. That means meat is a narual part of our diet.

Dennis, it is possible to eat meat which is not produced using the cruel, dangerous, and unsanitary practices employed by CAFOs and commercial agriculture.

I love meat and feel that there are way to many people (sorrowfully mostly atheists) who take a moral objection to eating meat. While I can agree that we should seek meat in an ethical manner (not causing undue suffering to the creatures that we eat) just not eating it is an F-you to nature!
