There's a potential need for a pro bono attorney to defend the Minnesota Independent, an online nonprofit newspaper, from a lawsuit filed by an extremist fundamentalist. Please read the story here:

The fundie in question is Bradlee Dean, a notorious anti-gay activist in the state of MN, and a fiery far right radio talk show host. You can read more about this character here:

The MN Independent has a solid reputation for exposing religious right shenanigans in the state, and now it's being threatened with a large lawsuit for doing so. I'm not fully apprised as to the organization's current legal counsel needs or budget. But the MN Independent might very well be in need of pro bono work, being a nonprofit. Is there anyone on this list who might be interested in this case or know someone who would?
