Ok, I admit, I'm excited about a WiiWare ExciteBike.

I used to love that game. The new version looks just like I remember the old version, because the years have added a soft glow and overall smoothness to my memories of what is actually a pretty bad looking little game. So this new one looks just perfect!

That's a pic of the original game, by the way! For the memories!
haha I agree! I used to play it all the time! The custom map maker was great! :]
Yes, so happy to see it's still there. The worst obstacles were those tiny little humps, we used to put a long row of them down just to annoy each other. They slow you down, but those big ramps were the best! Now all I still need is an updated version of Paperboy, then I'll be happy :)
LOL! I bought Animal Crossing for my wife several years ago. I wasn't really interested, and hadn't even picked it up until I read online that Excite Bike was embedded in the game. I played that thing for days until I completely hated it; then stumbled upon a cheat code online that unlocked the Excite Bike console within the game. Then I played Excite Bike for weeks, bringing back many many childhood memories.
I've never played Animal Crossing in my life, but it seems to me that everyone else has. Am I missing out on gaming history? I'll have to fix that :)

There is a mini game on Thrillville Off the Rails (Wii) called 'Stunt Rider' that is similar to ExciteBike in that you ride a bike over obstacles and finish the level within a certain time. As an additional challenge, your little rider is as floppy as a rag doll. I found it quite enjoyable as far as mini-games go and the music was great. I suspect ExciteBike planted the seed that allows me to enjoy any motorbike related sideways scrollers.
my friend got me that game a long time ago, and it was one of my favorites!
