Yahoo Answers Religion and Spirituality anyone?

anyone ever go on to Yahoo Answers, specifically the Religion and Spirituality (R&S) section?
it is equal parts total ignorant inanity, hilarity, and an opportunity for nonbelievers to counter the ludicrous statements of the believers in a place where someone might read what we say and be made to think for a change.
seems like it could also be a place to publicize TA as well.

yer gonna wanna set yer profile to so that no on can see your questions and answers or be your "fan". otherwise the nutball fundies will have the ability to get in to your questions and answers, report them to Yahoo Answers as violations, and get your account tossed.
Thanks for the warning. Changed my account.
thread resurrection!

let's get a bunch of people together and sort of do a TA raid of Y!A R&S, go counter some stupidity...
what say you? no? anyone?
This may sound silly, but it's the truth: I attribute my atheism to R&S. When I first went there (as a Christian) I couldn't believe how many ridiculous/hateful things my fellow Christians believed and said. I was disgusted with them. I made it my mission to make sure everyone knew that "not all Christians" were like that. I spent hours on there talking about how Christians didn't have to hate gays or force their beliefs on others; how we could be more "Jesus-like" and less hateful. The problem with my plan is that in order to combat some of these ridiculous ideas, I had to actually THINK about some of the things I believed in. Slowly and painfully, over time, I was able to admit to myself that I didn't believe either.

Anyway, R&S would be a great place to publicize TA. I agree. :)
and really it's stories like that, similar versions of which i've heard from others, that make me maintain a presence on places like R&S where the craziness can get so thick you need a machete to get through it as if you're in an Amazonian rainforest! lol.
it's not easy to do but people can be made to think. :)
Don't you mean "Occam's Razor"?
LOL. clever. razor=machete. :)
Sceptic's weapon of choice.
indeed!
I have come across some Christians who are open minded, and others that our so closed minded that they would deny the time of day if they felt insulted by it.

Publicizing TA is a good idea. If I can stand the nonsense long enough. lol
yeah, i hear ya. standing the nonsense becomes easier when you're able to laugh at it.
