Any answer yet as to who the voices on the tape are? and if they are actors reading quotes, whose quotes are they reading? There are people who believe what they see without questioning it overmuch, I had a friend like that. She was a fan of the TV psychic John Edward and totally lacked any ability to be the least bit skeptical. He was what is called a "cold reader," and did readings of celebrities, almost always actors. My friend felt that because actors said that he had told them things he couldn't (or so they thought) have known, then he must be for real. When I pointed out the possibility of plants in the audience and that, duh, it's an actor, whose profession is lying!!!

 

We have a lot of intellectually lazy people believing in proposterous conspiracy theories today. It may be due to the popularity of shows that just ask questions. The History channel, to their discredit, runs a lot of shows that just ask questions. Looking at a Mayan bas relief, they will ask "Could this be evidence of an alien visitation?" Talking about a UFO (the operative word being "unidentified") they ask, could this be a visitor from a much more advanced civilization?

 

How about shows that answer the questions they ask?

Yes we would appreciate some answers. The video contains testimony from ex employes of NASA and the NSA.

Well if its eighth grade science, perhaps you should have stayed awake a bit longer. Let me see if I can explain this in even simpler terms.

Lets say that you are pushing a child on a merry-go-round, we'll call her Lucy, (the child, that is, not the merry-go-round). Now, you set Lucy on the merry-go-round, and you begin to spin. When you begin the rotation, Lucy is right beside you, smiling happily in childlike enjoyment of going in a circle. Slowly, however, Lucy travels away from you. In more mathematic terms, she travels in an arch around the circumference of the circle that is the merry-go-round.

Now, at one point, Lucy will be all the way across the circle from where you are pushing. The merry-go-round will be empty where you are pushing, and not empty where Lucy is sitting. Slowly, as you push, Lucy will get closer to you.

Now lets say that lucy is a rock, and the merry-go-round is the moon. At one point the rock is facing the earth. Then, as the moon rotates on its axis, the rock moves to the far side or dark side of the moon. The rock has not moved. That is a very important sentence, so I'm going to write it twice. The rock... has not... moved.

Now, lets again say that the rock is now one of those huge buildings that you referenced earlier. In order for it not to be seen from Earth, where hundreds upon hundreds of telescopes are aimed at the moon by children and adults alike, every night of the year, it would have to stay on the dark side of the moon. As we've seen with Lucy, this is impossible, because of the moon's rotation upon its axis. The building would at one point be on the dark side of the moon, then on the light side of the moon. Unless, that is, you are trying to make the claim that there is a lunar base in geosyncronous orbit on the far side of the moon. If you are, then I have a nice little padded room for you, right over here.

as for tides. Tides are caused by the gravitational pull of the moon on the Earth. Just like the gravitational pull of the earth keeps the moon in orbit around it, the moon also has a gravitational pull. All objects subject all other objects to a gravitational pull, though it is usually so small that it makes little difference.

The moon's gravity pulls on the earth, and it causes the tides to rise. As the moon moves to the opposite side of the earth, or travels across the arch of an angle that is sufficiently large enough for the gravitational pull to no longer be strong enough to support the tides, they fall. Because the moon is orbiting around the earth, (notice I said orbitting, not rotating), the tides cyclically rise and fall.

This makes the claim that there is anything manmade, or made by any intelligent being, on the moon, so improbable, that it is logically impossible. The chances of something that large escaping our notice for 403 years, is so astronomically absurd, that it is practically impossible to measure.

I would also like to point out something else. In the report you submitted earlier, where a "scientist" claims to have been told that they discovered a base on the moon, can you please explain why it looks as if it were written by a fourth grader? I mean, really, a NASA scientist can't come up with a synonym for the phrase "very big"? I mean, I know vocabulary is slipping these days, but you'd think they could have come up with something a little more verbose.

If you ask me, that smacks of some kid with a computer who decided he'd make something up, and you bought it hook line and sinker. While we're on the subject, I have some ocean front property in oklahoma that you'd absolutely love, its yours for a song.

Cody,

You are correct about the Moon rotating on it's axis but the salient point is that it is also rotating around the earth at the same angular speed of it's axial rotation as such it always shows the same face to earth. I am surprise that you have not used wiki yet.

I have a masters degree in  mechanical engineer and fully understand these dynamics, but I do appreciate the layman breakdown of your misconception.

Cody, your logic is impeccable, but the conclusion is wrong and Michael is right on this one. Not about there being a Nasa conspiracy, but about the tidal locking. Please look at the link I provided you with, learn from it and do not repeat this mistake again.

The irony, of course, is that if NASA was actually hiding anything, a little photoshopping would have turned the images into something no conspiracy theorist would even notice much less propound cockamamie theories about.
