I think it's great that you're looking up the quotes yourself. You should never believe what other people tell you is in the Bible. Always look it up yourself and think about it. Researching and thinking - good for you!

Other people, like Bart Ehrman, have researched the Bible as well. You should read "Misquoting Jesus" so you can find out which passages definitely were not part of the original books.
