My house has been earthquaked out of existence (it will be bowled over next year). Christchurch is not going to be a great place to live for the next 10 years or so - probably more. So I'll have the price of a three-bedroom house in my pocket and a (very) modest pension. 

If you were an old fart like me who hates winter more each year, where would you live? So far I've visited real estate sites in Cook Islands, Hawaii, and Rio. I'll miss my family and friends, but I'm fairly open to making my waning years an experience.
