Earlier, she went a little too quiet for a little too long. All parents know this is somewhat suspect.. so... I set out to find my mischievous child. She was sitting, wide-eyed, in the hallway and clutching an old vinyl album. Bad Company - Run with the Pack. She was positively mesmerized with the subtle differences of one of the nursing wolf cubs.. I explained that it was, in fact, different because it was a little human "cub". Thus began a strange talk about feral children and perusal of a few websites on the subject. After her curiosity was sated, she ran off to play with her zoobles.. then returned to ask this question: do you think, if god is really real, he would let those little human cubs into heaven?'  

I should mention, I'm hell bent on my daughter finding her own truth.. and I encourage her to question.. and believe nothing that doesn't make sense.. She knows I don't believe in God and she knows most people in her life DO.. she knows she's to be respectful of all of them; regardless of how disrespectful they may be. Essentially, so long as she's a good person, that's all that matters to the people who matter.. and should, therefore, not pay any mind to the bible thumping bullies she encounters in our little town. I'm proud of my little thinker.. she's infatuated with the idea of God.. but, happily, all of our talks seem to conclude that she thinks its all bullshit.. 

Anyone else dealing with a deluge of god questions from their little ones? Hows it working out?
