I hear a lot of discussion and see a lot of thiests do this. Their child gets sick and they try to pray it away. This is about the funniest thing to me. I heard a joke one time that talks about just this.

A man was stuck on his roof during a rising flood, and he was praying to god to be rescued. Well a little time passes and some people on a raft come by and try to get him to come with them. The man replies "No, I prayed to god he will save me!" So the people on the raft float away. A short time later a boat comes by. Again the man declines because he prayed to god and he will be saved. The boat leaves and later in the day a helicopter comes by to rescue him. Once again the man declines because, his god will save him. Of course the man drowns just shortly after. When he rises to heaven he asks god "Why did you not save me? I prayed to you to save me!"

God replies "Are you sh*tt*ng me! I sent two boats and a helicopter! What else did you want!"

This is EXACTLY how those people act with their illnesses. If they do believe wouldn't atleast make sense to accept that their god put doctors on this earth to save them from these sicknesses?!

Some people...
