Maybe she couldn't sleep because of her conscience? Insisting pain was part of the price for getting into heaven, for those poor souls in her charge, then diverting the money given to her organisation to the Vatican or building projects for the benefit of anyone but the sick. Not to mention some of the evil bastards she accepted money from.

 Proves us non-believers have got sod-all to worry about if there is a magic man in the sky - if she gets in, we all get in.
