Something I was thinking about. Do you think the Catholic Church will ever go back to its evil ways of the time of the inquisitions?

Pope Francis may not be as bad as some of the others, certainly not as bad as the previous pope. But whose to say that the next pope won't be an extremist mad man, no different from Hitler?

@El Dol

I liked that article.

Absolute truth tellers are either Autistc - or Narcissists.

Narcissists use absolute truth telling as a weapon to hurt people and get what they want. If your fat and ugly - the Narcissist will gladly let you know that because it makes him feel good to see you squirm. Then he will say - 'at least Im honest"

Autistic people tell the truth because they dont understand the social value of white lies and about peoples feelings.. They dont do it for self gain or attention.

The best kind of lie is when its done for another - to maybe spare them from something that they dont need to know. Thats caring.

Pope Francis seems nicer doesnt he?  He has a more approachable feel about him and he looks kinder than the last one. But Pope Francis was pretty much chosen because of his very strict adherance to the Catholic doctrine. He wont change a anything.

His comments about non-believers sound kind and he says that he will bless them "silently''. But he also thinks that non-belief is what causes violence..

"Speaking to journalists and media employees on 16 March 2013, Pope Francis said he would bless them silently, "Given that many of you do not belong to the Catholic Church, and others are not believers".[141] In his papal address on 20 March, he said the "attempt to eliminate God and the Divine from the horizon of humanity" - "resulted in violence, but described as well his feelings about nonbelievers:[142][143] “[W]e also sense our closeness to all those men and women who, although not identifying themselves as followers of any religious tradition, are nonetheless searching for truth, goodness and beauty, the truth, goodness and beauty of God. They are our valued allies in the commitment to defending human dignity, in building a peaceful coexistence between peoples and in safeguarding and caring for creation.”

 -  I reckon if theres a new Hitler he will be Islamic. - Hitleralhamed Ali

The last time we had a liberal pope the hierarchy killed him.

The hierarchy already currently disagree with most of what he says

This was the first thing I thought of.
