I quite fancy the ones used in the Harry Potter books:
"Merlin’s pants!"
"what in the name of Merlin’s most baggy Y Fronts"
"by Merlin's saggy left..."
Honestly, it's like trying to chop stone necks with a blunt axe!
Blimey!
Cor!
Good Grief!
Well I never!
Why? A loud Goddamn it! is a good way to let people know you arent superstitious
It isn't though? You are calling to God to damn something that you are not happy about.
hehe!
I am 55 , so kind of OLD.. so, sorry if these sound antiquated, but I usually say "Oh my goodness" and "oh dear" and "good grief". They are really neutral, don't upset anybody, and I suppose they make me sound like Aunt Bea on the Andy Griffith show, but what the heck...:)
They are indeed neutral and as such, very worthy. I feel however that they are so close to Oh my God, Dear God, and Good God that they may fall into the calling God by proxy.
OYG - Oh YOUR God!
or... you could just do this:
HOLY SHIT!
Oh yeah! I'm into Spongebob cursing now - LOL:
BARNACLES!
