Talking to the departed

Often you see people in a graveyard talking to departed loved ones.  Being an Atheist, I do not believe in any form of life after death.  I don't believe that we have souls that go on living after our body dies.  This being said, do you ever find yourself speaking to the air in a graveyard?

I have never attempted to speak with a dead person; however, I have spoken to my sister when she was not anywhere near me, I have spoken with babies sleeping in my arms and I have spoken with my lovers while they were sleeping next to me. I suppose that is the same thing. I did it not because I wanted them to hear me but because in that moment I wanted to tell them something. I did not necessarily care if they heard me I JUST wanted to say it in their direction.
