According to a story from the AP, a "machine-gun social" was held in South Carolina by someone hoping to run the state's National Guard.

About 500 people came out to a shooting range on Sept. 27, 2009 for the political rally by Dean Allen, a Republican.

"Attendees paid $25 for barbecue, a clip of bullets for target practice and the chance to win a semiautomatic AK-47. Whoever wins the rifle will have to undergo a background check," the story stated.

Can we help the south secede again?

What is it with America and guns.
Money is made from killing people ,soldiers killed by guns etc, Money is more important than lives.
A background check eh, this weapon may be given to a fundamentalist who has false papers.
Who will stand up and be counted for all the deaths.
