It Stands to Reason, Skeptics Can Be Sexist Too.
I spoke out about sexual harassment among atheists and scientists. Then came the rape threats.

One of the most enraging articles I have read in a long time. While, as a feminist, I am well past believing any political space is an oasis from the greater challenges of our society, the intensity of the harrassment and the lack of self reflection that Watson documents here should be a real wake up call to male peers regarding male privilege, male threat, and all of it within structures of male supremacy.

It continues to astound and disappoint. It continues to limit us all. The time is for men to step into the faces of other men -- including Mr. Dawkins, who flabbergasts in all the wrong ways on this one -- and say ENOUGH.

To those who dismiss Watson's elevator comment, I offer Phaedra Starlings' excellent piece from 2009: Schrödinger’s Rapist: or a guy’s guide to approaching strange women... which sums up the matter quite well.
