I am not for war, but is it sometimes necessary? Ask Americans why we are at war and you will get different answers.

We provide healthcare for other countries when thousands of Americans can't afford insurance. We put our troops in danger for another country's "freedom". We have alliances that make enemies of other countries. We supply and support Israel. All for what? How exactly does this benefit America?

Should we continue doing what we have been doing or should we just stay over here and mind our own business? I am eager to see how other atheists view this.

Yeah, I didn't put much thought into the title.

actually, the proper grammar use of the apostrophe for It's is the shortening of it is. "Its" is the proper possession use.

I almost wrote the same thing about the apostrophe when I read doone's reply, I just decided it wasn't important enough to comment on. If you look at my title, when I changed it from "their" to "Its" the other day, I punctuated it correctly, leaving out the apostrophe. :D

Its my participle and I can dangle it if I want to.
You gawdamn'it heretic - Its not participle, its participal.
you mean "It's." I thought we covered this issue already.
I mean what I mean. I'm a proud itsist and I'll fight the it'sist scourge by any mean necessary.
No.  "It's" stands for a contraction of "it is".  The possessive "its" is written without the usual apostrophe in order to distinguish it from the contraction.  Check your Strunk and White.  If I remember correctly, this is the only exception to the usual rule that possessives are formed with an apostrophe.

i) He was referring to the contraction in that case.

ii) The possessive forms of personal pronouns don't use apostrophes:

mine

your(s)

his

her(s)

its

our(s)

their(s)
