I'm not from the US, but I really enjoy their elections and politics in general. Some GOP politicians and analysts are just so fcking funny, and I mean, ludacris funny. Here's an episode of the daily show which makes fun of certain people's view on science. I find it a very good example of my point.

What's ur opinion on this?. There are some serious issues here, though. Lots of people have a twisted image on science which is worrying for any society.
