Russian lawmakers will in February debate a bill that could see homosexual couples lose custody of their children. The debate will likely coincide with the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi which have already been marred by boycott calls over Russia's existing anti-gay legislation. The bill, published on the website of Russia's Duma lower house of parliament, says the state can strip parents of custody if they practise "non-traditional sexual relations," the term used in Russian law to describe homosexual relations. Imagine if this monstrous law ordering gay and lesbian couples to turn their children over to the state actually passes while the genocidally gay-hating Russians are hosting the 2014 Olympics. Let's see what sort of pretzel-like logic the IOC comes up with this time to excuse the Russians as non-discriminatory, like they did when the Russians outlawed rainbow flags and banned same-sex kissing.
Thank goodness we have the Olympics to represent humanity's highest principles. Because nobody discriminates against homosexuals in Russia, provided they wear the mandated muzzles, stay in hiding and surrender their kids to the local orphanages.
Fundamental Principles of Olympism: 6. Any form of discrimination with regard to a country or a person on grounds of race, religion, politics, gender or otherwise is incompatible with belonging to the Olympic Movement. (Source: Olympic Charter, p. 12)
