I was looking at mixpod earlier. Impressive I can get some but crucially not all of the songs from my old playlist on there (it seems there are other orchestrated film score freaks like me out there!)

Still it's the best of the suggestions so far.

I just want to clarify that this issue is simply a cost to the host and there haven't been any legal threats, or have there been?

I am assuming you have these mp3s in your HD. If so, unless they have known copyright issues with YouTube, you can try creating a simple and basic wmv file with it and upload it to YT. Then you can add the uploaded music video to your Mixpod playlist.

I am not aware of any legal issue arising from the old player format. Hope the idea above works for you.

I got an email today with a video about uploading music - does that mean the old system is back (or one suspiciously similar to it?)

yes Richard, you'll no doubt be happy to know that the old system is back. after getting some more feedback and weighing some options (and with some donations made specifically to bring back the music feature), it's back. better, all the music you had previously uploaded to your playlist should still be intact. :)

As someone on a fixed income and unemployed I cannot regrettably make donations to many causes close to my heart, my budget simply does not stretch to such philanthropy. So to those who did contribute something to getting the music service re-started my sincere thanks to you all.
