As an IT analyst, I deal with many different people, each with different levels of competency. While working with a clients computer, I was invited to the person's church. I politely refused, and continued my work. He persisted until I calmly said that I do not follow a religious mindset. He said that he couldn't understand how I could work with such complex machines and not believe. I asked him if he prayed before calling me. He said no. I pointed the medical bracelet that he was wearing and told him that as soon as prayer starts solving problems, doctors and technicians would be the first to lose their jobs.

HAHAHAHAHA pwned
Zing! That is pure gold!
HaHa! Awesome reply!
Did he respond? What did he say? Or do you think it was one of those 'I'm going to be nice to the IT guy, otherwise he might eff up my comp' situations? :D
It was awkward silence. He was not used to being contradicted, and I was worried about getting into a long discussion at the end of my day.
I often struggle with that - Do I point out this person's fallacious comments and potentially end up in a long and tiring conversation with someone I couldn't really care less about or do I stay quiet and leave the comment unchallenged and possibly, to the person making the comment, somewhat encouraged? Way to find the middle of the road, man. I'm not very good at that. :/
