My question is about masturbation as i find is my weakest link, specially regarding the argument that masturbating thinking in women or with images of women is degrading to them by converting them into a sex object. Argument to  which i hypocritically agree. My questions are, is this argument reasonable? are there other ways to approach that action? Is there a proper rebuttal besides the slippery-slope of "If it is not with woman, guys will start looking for pictures of animals or ..."?

Haven't read all the posts but... at a moralistic/objectifiction of women standpoint, that's just inherited prudery and conditioning and complete bollocks. We are hard-wired to respond so and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

However, if you are feeling the need to wank a lot, it is because your body is more heated than it should be.

If you ate simpler foods, less meat, less alcohol or drugs, did good physical exercise, you would definitely feel less need to wank. Wanking is a physichosis (is that even a word? the physical version of a psychosis) that is more a symptom than much else.

I have had extensive yoga training and I know this first hand. Sirsana or headstand will allow the prana (life force) to flow from your dick to your third eye, and so on. Sounds daft but I assure you, it is true.

Women masturbate too! O: Shocking. LOL jk. But I don't see where anyone gets the idea that masturbating to someone turns them into a sex object?? You think about their personalities too, which makes you think about how they would react to certain sexual situations, which can be arousing. If anything masturbating to someone is a form of flattery

Exactly

Well, I used to feel guilty for masturbating, too, especially since I'm a girl and I had to picture other girls. Over time, I reached the conclusion that picturing people is normal, not degrading. They should be flattered! :) And it's natural and healthy, of course. Human nature, and not such a bad part of it.

I don't care if someone masturbates to children, chickens, horses, or murder. As long as they have a filter on their behavior I don't think they need a filter on their thoughts. I'm hetero, but now and again I'll see some gay porn that's a turn on. I don't spend a lot of time worrying that I might be gay. And if I were, so the f*** what?

My experience as a photographer working with a lot of females, is that girls are either naturally or socially more open to considering other females as potential partners for a little sexual fooling around. We all know that girls in their early teens practice quite a bit on each other, testing their kissing skills, for example. If boys are doing that, you can be fairly sure (not certain, of course) that they are in the 10%.

You are exactly right unseen.

Does masturbating to these girls mean you are going to go out and randomly try to hump women without their permission?  Are you going to stop seeing women as complex human beings who also happen to be fun to have sex with?  Guessing the answers are no and no.  Sexual deviations requiring serious therapy and/or prison tend to have roots in much more complicated things than simple masturbation to pretty women in magazines.  As a woman, I'd prefer to have the right to choose whether or not to pose in a magazine and to also choose how I feel about it.

The old school feminists used to see a relationship between porn and rape. The linguistic tool they used was the concept of so-called "objectification." However, as any woman in a sexual relationship with a man knows, after a male has an orgasm he has an annoying tendency to want to sleep. I think this might be one reason why this concept of woman-as-object came up. "Oh, he just wants to use me for sex, like I'm a human kleenex."

Arriana Huffington once quipped, "Men go to sleep (after sex) because women don't turn into pizza," but it is a lot more complicated than that. Biological science now tells is that ...during ejaculation, men release a cocktail of brain chemicals, including norepinephrine, serotonin, oxytocin, vasopressin, nitric oxide (NO), and the hormone prolactin. The release of prolactin is linked to the feeling of sexual satisfaction, and it also mediates the “recovery time” that men are well aware of—the time a guy must wait before “giving it another go.” Studies have also shown that men deficient in prolactin have faster recovery times. (source)

I love the fact that biology doesn't care about feminism or human's petty, imposed, wishful needs. It just is.

Maturbation?

That's the reason arms are exactly this long now.

AND why the dinosaurs went extinct- No meteor or climate change- sheer frustration. That poor T-Rex and his itty-bitty arms-  lol

Slippery-slope? One of my least favorite phrases of all time.

Pics of animals? Watch any animal show on TV (Nat Geo. Animal Planet etc...) and you can see animal porn, insect porn, bird porn. Well, it's just called nature/natural with those species. Fascinating as it is, especially in the light of evolution. It's not a turn-on in any way to humans- or it would be on Pay-Per-View.

It's only porn if it's pics/vids of humans.

Sex is better than masturbation- but not as "handy".

I honestly see no issue with a man masturbating to either visual or mental images of women. If he's heterosexual, that's what arouses him. It's natural. Why should there be a problem with that?

What of women who masturbate to mental or visual images of men? Are they, then, making sexual objects of the men they're thinking about or looking at? Is that any less right or wrong?

Don't worry about it. It really isn't hurting anyone. It's a natural thing to do, and thinking of whatever one thinks about while masturbating is just what they prefer to think about.
