That says is all. According to a study, the parts of the brain that house skepticism shut down during prayer. Admittedly, this was only true of the devout who were studied, but it is a curious thing!

Adriana, I wonder...could this be applied to people we trust who state that there are no gods as well? We need to be careful lest we fall into the same trap.

You are correct, we need to engage the skeptic area of our brain whenever anyone is telling us how the world works.
