Here is a scorecard published by BillStamp.com which rates U.S. politicians according to how well they support the Separation of Church and State. There's also a smaller scorecard containing only the 2016 presidential candidates.
Just leaving it here in case any of you are interested. Let me know if you have any questions about what the scores mean.
Is this site atheistic?
Secularism is separate from Atheism. Atheism, Agnosticism, Humanism, etc are religions*, whereas Secularism is merely the political idea that certain things (e.g. government funding, hiring practices, etc.) should be kept separate from religion.
*religion is a subjective term, so please don't email us about nontheism's religious status
How did they arrive at the subjective idea that atheism, etc. are a religion?
I don't consider my denial of the existence of supernatural phenomena a religious belief.
Fair enough, that's your opinion. Anyway what do you think of the scorecard (the link I posted)?
It's great to see that the entire list isn't democrats totally on the top and republicans totally on the bottom. However, seeing almost all of the republican nominees at the bottom...is alarming. I've heard the phrase "clown car" or "clown parade" on several news sites and websites. Would you consider that an appropriate description?
