Arguments, that convince you, strong atheism is true. If you are not a strong atheist, but a weak one, don't argue with this question. its not for you. Its for the ones, that positively assert, most probably God does not exist. Please don't base it on a negative ( the bible is worthless etc....), but positive arguments, which do make strong atheism stand on its own right.

Permalink Reply by james d on January 21, 2012 at 9:46am as a theist, you are not proving that to anyone yet as you troll the internet looking for athesists to harass and annoy with your bullshit! if you are a dishonest theist, what makes you think you would be any different as an atheist?
it's people like you that give me cause to be ashamed to be human!
you know nothing about us, yet we have spent countless hours trying to help you see truth, which you have ignored and told us how useless our efforts have and will be, yet you claim to have all truth yet refuse to show us anything that would back that up because you don't believe in proof's or evidence, but rely on FAITH to hold on to your god and the narrow, archaic world view that leads you to be dishonest with us, and with yourself..
so how would you spend your time? trolling theist sites? proving the non-existence of the god you already can't prove? hmmm, that sounds like an honest pursuit! i hope that works out for you!

"how about answer my question, and tell what your goals are ? why do you spend so much effort to tell christians are sick et al ? what do you gain doing that ? just wondering.....if i were a atheist, i would know how to spend my time much better."
My goals? to make people aware of the TRUTH, which is: The bizarre Metamagical Beliefs at the ROOT of ALL religious faith are created by the BRAIN.
These Bizarre beliefs are also at the ROOT of Neurological disorders. This makes FAITH in Imaginary friends a neurological disorder not unlike schizophrenia. Deep inside YOU KNOW this is true, for you very well know I can PROVE it by simply operating your brain..as I've said, Facts talk bullshit walks.
My goals is to DESTROY the cancer of the brain which in fact is a Borna Virus mutation, this brain anomaly not only creates GOD-FAITH ( there re as many gods as the brain can create) making schizophrenia a form of organized religion but also mental disorders like paranoia schizophrenia, TL epilepsy, Schizotypy, Algolagnia, RETTS and its many variations.
I do not expect you to understand since you are affected by this anomaly...and explanation would be useless. I've have studied many Schizophrenics as well as religious psychotics ( they are the same, the name is the only thing that changes) for over 30 years...
Again, I posted many videos by neuroscientist like Dr Sapolsky, Urgesi, Ramachandran et al...and since they present a hurtful truth...your brain goes berserk feeling a deep pain. This is not unlike someone telling you a parent that you love very much has been killed in an accident..
Even if the messenger is only joking, the news WILL affect your mental health. So, Angelo ( Nike with a penis) you do have a disorder, that can ONLY get worse...I'm simply warning you about an impending neurological danger. I know the mental aberration you had when attempting at redeeming yourself in the eyes of an Imaginary friend( a zombie god) on a mentally healthy, aka atheist forum...many her do not understand the severity of your schizotypy for they do not know neurology & the fact a religious belief is nothing more than a neurological disorder like schizotypy..I do. This I can prove to you, as I said, by operating your frontal executive, locus coeruleus and precuneus...
This is so true that you make me laugh when attempting to be sane..This is like in siting that the glass I'm going to drop on a concrete floor will NOT brake...deep inside you know IT WILL..your neural array dysfunction is STOPPING your frontal executive to see it...DELUSIONS are flooding the area due to DISEASE. This happens in people suffering a stroke
Like I say Angelo if you are SURE your resurrected Zombie Friend is real & exists OUTSIDE of the BRAIN...let me PROVE to you it does not and it is simply a symptom of your mental disease...
Sorry to tell you the truth you do not want to hear...but hey, I love Christians but HATE the neurological disorder that afflicts them making them so a stupid, ignorant deluded, intolerant, immoral, perverted, retarded ( they reason like people of the Middle Ages so retarded they are), perverting the mind of children, psychopaths & sadomasochistic.....
BTW I do have the evidence to back up what I say...ChristPsychotics have an extensive historical record of their Psychopathy induce genocide. I can bring it up if you want me too...not bullshit but down to earth FACTS.
All the best, Nike with a Dick ( angelo). Get well soon...
Calpurnpiso a mentally healthy dude,,,

Permalink Reply by archaeopteryx on January 21, 2012 at 2:07pm The post above was written AFTER a previous post of mine that I personally deleted - I deleted it because it disappeared - only the heading ("Reply by archaeopteryx") and the "Reply" button remained, all else was gone. Did god do it? Somehow I doubt that.
I won't try and recreate it, as it would likely just go poof again, but the entire purpose was to invite all of you (figuratively) to go Xmas caroling with me next year. I had the image of a wrapped gift for you, and when you clicked it, it took you to a YouTube video that no matter how many times I watch it, never fails to crack me up.
Now, I'm going to try to embed it and we'll see what happens. If it works, just memorize the little ditty in the video and go door to door with all of your atheist friends and see what happens (you might want to wear sensible running shoes, just in case --).

Permalink Reply by archaeopteryx on January 21, 2012 at 2:19pm And last, but not least (since I seem to have the board to myself), let me introduce you to my own brand of religion - the need to save this planet before we destroy it.
Copy this, pass it around, do anything with it you like that will further the cause of Humanity. We only borrow this earth from our children.
GENESIS . . . last chapter
In the end,
There was Earth, and it was with form and beauty.
And Man dwelt upon the lands of the Earth, among the meadows and the trees, and he said,
“Let us build our dwellings in this place of beauty.”
And he built cities and covered the Earth with concrete and steel.
And the meadows were gone.
And Man said, “It is good.”
On the second day, Man looked upon the waters of the Earth.
And Man said, “Let us put our wastes into the waters,
That the dirt will be washed away.”
And Man did.
And the waters became polluted and foul in their smell.
And Man said, “It is good.”
On the third day, Man looked upon the forests of the Earth
And saw that they were beautiful.
And Man said, “Let us cut the timber for our homes and grind the wood for our use.”
And Man did.
And the lands became barren and the trees were gone.
And Man said, “It is good.”
On the fourth day, Man saw that animals were in abundance
And ran in the fields and played in the sun.
And Man said, “Let us cage these animals for our amusement and kill them for our sport.”
And Man did.
And there were no more animals on the face of the Earth.
And Man said, “It is good.”
On the fifth day, Man breathed the sweet air of the Earth.
And Man said, “Let us dispose of our wastes into the air
So the winds might blow them away.”
And Man did.
And the air became filled with smoke and the fumes could not be blown away.
And the air became heavy with dust, and choked and burned.
And Man said, “It is good.”
On the sixth day, Man saw himself, in skins of many colors;
And speaking many tongues and languages, and Man feared.
And that which he feared, he hated.
And Man said, “Let us build great machines of war and destroy these, lest they destroy us.”
And Man built great machines, and the Earth was fired with the rage of great wars.
And Man said, “It is good.”
On the seventh day, Man rested from his labors
And the Earth was still,
For Man no longer dwelt upon the Earth.
And it was good.

This thread was mostly run into the ground many many pages ago; however, given that some members were still being entertained by it (even including myself to some extent), I left it alone. Now that it seems to have fully lost steam, I will be locking the thread. Why lock it? Because it's a big fat mess, and for some reason, threads like this just keep getting revived only to get bigger, messier and more hideous.
To any who are dismayed by this, take heart; I'm sure another evangelist will be along to start up a new silly thread within the next few months.
