Arguments, that convince you, strong atheism is true. If you are not a strong atheist, but a weak one, don't argue with this question. its not for you. Its for the ones, that positively assert, most probably God does not exist. Please don't base it on a negative ( the bible is worthless etc....), but positive arguments, which do make strong atheism stand on its own right.

And what caused the Big Band into being ?
Permalink Reply by Michel Ménard on January 11, 2012 at 10:09am Some cause that was there before and that is not yet fully defined or explained. How am I suppose to know what no one elso knows?
I suppose this should lead me to the conclusion that a god did it?

Big Bands are usually caused into being by Big Producers or Big Recording Industries, so that they can make Big Records and Big Concerts where they play for Big Crowds of Audience.
I hope that answer suffices to your attention-hunger.
Permalink Reply by archaeopteryx on January 11, 2012 at 11:25am Actually WS3001, the "Big Band " Era pretty much ended in the '50's, and nothing would please me more if all attention to Michael/Angelo ended today. Surely we all have better things to do, but it's kinda like a moth to the flame, isn't it?

Permalink Reply by Wintershade3001 on January 11, 2012 at 11:33am IIRC, the 50s were the Golden Age of both recording and film industry, so the big producers, recording industries, records and concerts were quite present at the time ;)

I don't know. And neither do you. And how does your question advance the conversation?

Still answering questions with questions - PLEASE, SOMEbody where this guy lives, give him the attention he craves!

Permalink Reply by Rosemary LYNDALL WEMM on January 11, 2012 at 8:34am I am glad this makes sense to you.
In spite of my professional education you had me struggling with the first multi-syllable word that could have been substituted by a more generally friendly one.
But this could not be all of the reason why I found your argument hard to understand. At the point where you change to normal English to provide a marbelous explanation (pun intended) I was still scratching my head.
Because I cannot understand your argument I have no way of evaluating it. Perhaps it is brilliant; perhaps not.
In other words, your explanation appears to require specialist or occult knowledge of some branches of philosophy and/or mathematics. Unless you can explain it in simple English I doubt that it will convince the general human.
Permalink Reply by Michel Ménard on January 11, 2012 at 9:54am Madame, I am francophone and I am not a professionnal in any field. Just a guy next door. I've learned english mostly by myself. So maybe for you I'm not being perfectly clear or using a "more generally friendly english" ... to me it's an accomplishment worthy of being proud of.
I have a thirst for knowledge and every day I try to learn new things to better comprehend the universe surrounding me. I have my limits and I make mistakes like everyone else. Moreover, it is way more difficult to express myself in your language than in mine.
So, this being said... I don't understand the "multi-syllable" comment. Many words are multi-syllable aren't they? What was it that I wrote that was not proper or not clear ?
Permalink Reply by Albert Bakker on January 12, 2012 at 1:08am You have nothing to worry about Michel, neither with regard to your command of the English language nor with your argumentation. You are being perfectly lucid.
