Arguments, that convince you, strong atheism is true. If you are not a strong atheist, but a weak one, don't argue with this question. its not for you. Its for the ones, that positively assert, most probably God does not exist. Please don't base it on a negative ( the bible is worthless etc....), but positive arguments, which do make strong atheism stand on its own right.

while not making sense when actually observed with any serious level of depth.

Please point them out.

I want to have a conversation with a snake and see a man that was made from scratch have a ribbed removed in order to make a woman. I don't want to read about it, I want to see it. I'd enjoy getting tipsy conversing with a man that I WITNESSED turn water into wine. I want to see at least one person with faith walk across the water so that I can have enough faith to do the same thing. Something tells me neither of us will ever witness anything like the aforementioned events. Why would you want to believe these things happened?

If God exists, and he created the heavens , and the earth, it is peanuts to him to make such miracles. But if you feel well without defending a well defined standpoint, shall it be. Its your life, its your eternity, its your choice.

Please point them out.

People have pointed out both the fallacies of your pseudoarguments and their own solid arguments. Every time this happened, you ignored it. And now you're asking sway austin to point them out again. This only further shows how dishonest and even lazy you are, because instead of going through the thread again, and actually reading what people gave you, now you're asking for it again - in all probability, only to ignore it again and to further annoy honest people who are genuinely doing their best to maintain a decent conversation with you.

Angelo

if you are truly interested in the topic of something from nothing, then perhaps you would be interested in a video from someone who is actually in the field of cosmology!

Laurence Krauss - Cosmology

i hope you take the time to listen! he knows way more about the universe than the god of your bible does!

Angelo --

I went to the link you suggested, and in only the second paragraph, I found the following, which I'm paraphrasing:

"Christianity as the Best Explanation                                                                                            Many religious beliefs can be dismissed at the outset because they fail this first criterion,... they fail the test of rationality since they hold contradictory beliefs."

Recall, Angelo, that this is YOUR link, in which you profess to believe, else why would you suggest we go there? How, then, do you reconcile the following two statements, do they not "hold contradictory beliefs," and therefore "fail the test of rationality"?

Exodus 20:13 - "Thou shalt not kill."                                                                                                         Then, only two chapters later, we come to:                                                   Exodus 22:18 - "Thou shall not suffer a witch to live."

?????????:-O surprise

Sure. you shall not kill, unless God orders it for some reason.

Odd I must have missed the bit in the Bible that said:

"Thou shalt not kill*"

*Some conditions my apply, Yahweh reserves the right to change or revoke this commandant at any time.

One last question Angelo, as I can feel myself coming to the end of my patience with you.

Are you saying that Exodus 20:13 reads: "Thou shalt not kill unless God orders it for some reason"?

How did I miss that?

Why the double standard? Does god consider himself above his own laws? I would have thought that he would follow his own moral code that he would punish people forever for if they disobeyed. The guy is a complete hypocrite!

We do not have any proof of the existance of witches yet they are mentioned in the bible, ergo every 'true' xian should believe in the existance of witches and black cats familiars. Shit, if you take the entire bible as truth you should already believe in witchcraft and magic stuff.

Eoganacht - RE: witches with black cats

Interesting you should mention that, as Christian missionaries were very underhanded when it came to trying to undermine local religions and replace them with Christianity. The most famous case in point was the fact that they took the Northern European holiday celebrating the Winter Solstice and the return of the sun to the Northern Hemisphere, and declared that Jesus was born at that time, so as to hijack the holiday and turn it into a celebration of their own brand of superstition.

Similarly, they did the same to defame regional gods and goddesses. Old Odin, or Woden (from whom we get "Woden's day," or "Wednesday") had two sons, Loki and Thor (from whom we get "Thor's day" - poor Loki didn't make the cut), but he also had a daughter, Frija (pronounced, Freia - from whom we get "Frija's day" as in, TGIFrija'sday).

Turns out Freja liked cats. Freja was also a very popular goddess among the Scandanavians.

Freja & friend

So the good Christian missionaries began denouncing Freja as a witch, and maintained that since she was usually depicted with a cat, they concluded - as least that's what they told the public - that her cat was an evil spirit, a familiar.

Their hero, Jesus, must have rolled over in his sepulchre.

That seems to me just a cheap escape to ignore God.

This is actually just a cheap escape to justify your irrational beliefs. Just because you know of no rational explanation of our existence (and in reality, you actually choose to ignore it, since you've been pointed out to more than enough in this thread only), it doesn't mean there is no rational explanation. And again, you are making a false dilemma, a logical fallacy where you assume that just because a "naturalist" explanation is wrong, that your own explanation is automagically true.

that is what most atheists do assert. But our existence is evidence, either for God as cause, or naturalism. I have not seen so far ONE compelling explanation for naturalism. So far God is the best explanation to me.

There is no rational explanation of our existence with naturalism. Never in human history, there was more information available, to come confidently to this conclusion.

Yet again, you lie. This is not ignorance or delusion, this is lying. Because you've been pointed out the fallacy of those claims more than once, and you choose to continue to ad nauseam repeat them. Here, check this out: http://tinyurl.com/769c94l - a plethora of articles which prove that what you are speaking is just not true.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people 39  who suppress the truth by their 40 unrighteousness, 41  1:19 because what can be known about God is plain to them, 42  because God has made it plain to them. 1:20 For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, because they are understood through what has been made. So people 43  are without excuse. 1:21 For although they knew Godthey did not glorify him as God or give him thanksbutthey became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts 44  were darkened. 1:22 Although they claimed 45  to be wisethey became fools

The Bible is worthless. I'm sorry, but if you can allow yourself to quote the Bible as something that provides a solid argument, and yet not allow other people to claim that it provides nothing solid, then you have double standards, and are further demonstrating your own dishonesty.
