Arguments, that convince you, strong atheism is true. If you are not a strong atheist, but a weak one, don't argue with this question. its not for you. Its for the ones, that positively assert, most probably God does not exist. Please don't base it on a negative ( the bible is worthless etc....), but positive arguments, which do make strong atheism stand on its own right.

OP clearly made a personal attack when saying
If you are not a strong atheist, but a weak one, don't argue with this question. its not for you.
Why would a "weak" atheist not be allowed to post an argument for positive atheism? Just because I don't fully agree with something, it doesn't mean I don't think it is a good argument which should be discussed about. This looks like a huge ad hominem attack from the OP, who clearly wanted to show that there are no good arguments for strong atheism, and in doing so wanted to allow as few people to post as possible.
As for the argument for strong atheism...
It is trivial to prove that no abrahamic deity exists (since they are all benevolent, omnipotent and omniscient by their theological definitions), and I'm fairly certain anyone who's listened to Logic in high school (and paid attention, ofc) for at least a year to be able to do so.
This is also true for most other deities. The most obvious cases are the omniscient deities, whose basic theological properties are in conflict with the known reality. Also, in most polytheistic religions, the "elder"/"head"/"all-father" deities are both benevolent and omniscient, which logically cannot exist. This eliminates most (almost all) other deities who were born from those mythological monsters.
So what's there left to disprove? I could now make an ad hominem attack like the OP did and say, do not present me deities you don't believe in yourself. So if you're a monotheist (jehovist, jesusist, allahist, et al.), your deity is already disproven. If you're a polytheist, only present me with deities you believe in, but haven't been disproven yet.
Permalink Reply by peter macneil on January 8, 2012 at 7:21am This is too easy. My best argument is simple. With a confused look and outstretched arms I say... "Duh?". Either you get it and shake your head in shameful agreement w/ my observation or you stomp away muttering god smack. Hooked on Atheism works for me.
Permalink Reply by KaraC on January 8, 2012 at 5:27pm This is like asking for strong proof of the none-existence of unicorns. There is simply no evidence for them, just as there is no evidence for god, beyond some stories. Not really much point in taking the time to dig up evidence for something that doesn't exist.
Permalink Reply by Angelo on January 8, 2012 at 9:16pm So what evidence do you have for naturalism ?
Permalink Reply by Kir Komrik on January 8, 2012 at 11:20pm Hey Angelo,
Irrelevant. The question is:
please present the best arguments for strong atheism
Which I've answered to be:
There is no reasonable evidence for the existence of a god or gods.

So why then is there something, rather than nothing ?

I don't know. And what does that have to do with my statement?

So your assertion there is no evidence for Gods existence, is irrelevant. Its not a matter of there not being any evidence, but that you are not able to interprete the evidence. Our existence is the most overwhelming evidence that God exists. From absolutely nothing, nothing arises. If there were absolutely nothing previous to our existence, we woule have never come into existence, since absolutely nothing has not potentialities, and cannot create unvierses. A sentient, powerful , eternal, spaceless, timeless God can.. And a eternal universe without beginning cannot exist. And if it would exist, we would by now already be in a state of heath death, according to the second law of thermodynamics.

Okay, so let's assume there is evidence. Can you please present some, just as you have been presented with evidence against your "god"?
Our existence is the most overwhelming evidence that God exists.
You are a liar. Our existence only proves that life exists and that it evolves. How does it prove that there is a "god", and that that god is exactly your particular "god", and not some other which you happen to not believe in? How does our existence prove that there is, e.g. Jesus or Yahweh, and not, e.g. Zeus, Krishna or Quetzalcoatl?
From absolutely nothing, nothing arises. If there were absolutely nothing previous to our existence, we woule have never come into existence, since absolutely nothing has not potentialities, and cannot reate unvierses.
You are a liar. A dishonest, disgusting liar. Here is why. http://www.worsleyschool.net/science/files/quantum/physics.html
A sentient, powerful , eternal, spaceless, timeless God can..
Just because he can in your storybook, it doesn't mean that he did in reality.
And a eternal universe without beginning cannot exist.
Bravo, sir. You have just proven that your "god" cannot and does not exist.
And if it would exist, we would by now already be in a state of heath death, according to the second law of thermodynamics.
Again you lie. The 2nd law of Thermodynamics doesn't state anything even remotely similar to what you said. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2nd_law_of_thermodynamics
Liar liar, pants on fire :D
