The End of Christian America at Newsweek.com by Jon Meacham

"The percentage of self-identified Christians has fallen 10 points in the past two decades. How that statistic explains who we are now—and what, as a nation, we are about to become."

Of course it's not happening fast enough for my taste but this significant start to a decline is worth a little celebration. Bring on the new enlightenment.

A start. A small one, but a start. Certainly nowhere near the 'Christian American has lost political power!' that the headline suggests. We still have a very long way to go.
It's a start for sure. There is still quite a way to go. But I can only hope that this trend begins to snowball.
With further sacrifices of goats and chickens to my dark lord and savior, Lucifer, we can hopefully speed this trend!

I imagine members of the religious right might read the article and proclaim that the dark forces are gaining ground! Beware!
I say it can't happen fast enough.
