I'm looking for a place to buy some cheap books for school on the New Atheism Movement. It's a pretty extensive list that covers Dawkins, Hitchens, Hawking, Harris, Berlinski, etc. Does anyone know of any place I'd find these books at a reasonable price fairly. There are 11 different books so if I wanted to get them used from Amazon, I'd have to pay shipping on each. I'd rather not buy them new. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a website or store.

Permalink Reply by Cristynfaye on January 14, 2012 at 1:22pm I don't know where you live, but you could try used book stores. There's one in Seattle called Half Price Books (not sure if they are local or a national chain), and they have pretty decent prices. There is also half.com if you want to shop online. I've never bought anything there, but I've heard they are decent.
Permalink Reply by Rob Klaers on January 14, 2012 at 3:11pm I will say in comparison to my campus bookstore, even with S&H its still cheaper to get them from Amazon. It's not uncommon for one of my books to go for $100. I can find the same book on Amazon for $70-$80 then add in shipping- say $6..so $76-$86,
A Cristyn mentioned there is Half-priced books. They're a national chain (we have them here in MN), but not sure if they do text books.
