this is some of the crap that some of my "friends" on facebook "like" on a daily basis. I left a comment:

since when do souls have senses without the part of the human brain that gives us those senses? We have to learn how to use this part of the brain...I guess that does not count in hell does it?

on that note, how is time relevant in the spirit world eh? this is a human concept and "souls" are not human according to the lord.

How about the treasures that you all seek in heaven? God promises them doesn't he? Then why does the bible's depiction of heaven consist of worldly goods?

and what about a serial killer who is forgiven on death row, is that better then a moral atheist? How could you possibly justify this?

because heaven and hell is a human concept.

Stop spreading ignorance with fear.

This is a conversation that happened on this "friend's" facebook:

Yes, I have viewed many of these type of videos. They are thought provoking...God helps us not to let our family and friends down, but to let them know about YOU Father and YOUR "full" gospel truth! "mankind" CAN RELATE TO...We don't know WHAT ALL the spiritual realm of heaven (and hell) is ALL about, YET! But one day we will...
being at one place or the other! I choose heaven, SO I want to know and embrace God's FULL knowledge of TRUTH...not just partial truth, which HALF truth, is a lie! A good example to Jon question...just like mankind's courts say, "You sware to give the WHOLE truth...and NOTHING BUT the TRUTH, so help me GOD!" I DO!!!

I think a great deal of us are smart enough to comprehend things that don't relate to mankind. The bible was written by men, and those men could only relate to mankind. If that weren't so, then god who "inspired" the bible wouldn't have t...old us we would receive the same worldly goods that his holy book tells us we will. His holy book tells us that we should not concern ourselves with greed. It tells us to not covet worldly goods, and that we shouldn't be greedy. As far as only comprehending things from a human prospective, We come a long way at discovering things on a daily bases that we would have though years before were impossible. The universe is ever expanding and so are our minds. Speaking of minds, were do you think the fear and pain we will feel in hell comes from? The thalamus forwards the message simultaneously to three specialized regions of the brain: the physical sensation region that identifies and localizes the pain (somatosensory cortex), the emotional feeling region that experiences suffering (limbic system), and the thinking region that assigns meaning to the pain (frontal cortex).

and I guess you would have to describe a soul. Usually being associated with memory, consciousness and personality. The human brain's frontal lobe is responsible for these. As a newborn, we are complete blank slates in which we have to form and develop our own brains....which is responsible for our memory, consciousness and personality.

so, fire in hell or treasures in heaven, which are only relevant to humans, wouldn't effect us.

Hope you don't take any of this as a personal attack by the way, I just like to debate.

oh and, you don't have to swear on a bible in the court, that would violate the first amendment because it is establishing one belief over another one.

Usually if you prefer not to swear on a bible, you would just give you're word to the co...urt that you will be honest.
