On Thursday November 19, 2009, Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort (the banana guy) will be distributing 50,000 copies of Charles Darwin's 'Origin of Species' at universities across America to students for free.
BUT THERE'S A CATCH!!
Each copy will have a 50 page intro about how evolution has never been proven and how Darwin helped inspire the Holocaust.

If this outrages you, then you're not alone. There's something we can do though. We can amass as many of these books as possible, remove the 50 page intro, and then donate perfectly good copies of 'Origin of Species' to schools, libraries, and Goodwill. We can actually make this into something positive.
If you are in college, then you are in a good position to help. Check your campus on November 19th, and if you see a group distributing copies of the book, then get as many as you can. Get a copy for yourself, ask if you can have extra copies for your friends, ask your friends to go ask for copies, and ask other people you see carrying the book if you can have their copy.
This is a shameful thing that Kirk Cameron and the Banana Guy are doing by altering another person's book in order to push their agenda. But we can help to restore the book to how it was intended and keep young minds from being brainwashed by misinformation.

Kirk Cameron and his Banana Guy can't help it. The bible has always been altered in order to gain new followers. That's how the new testament got written. "Hey..lets include everyone!" Let's not make the jews the chosen people anymore and make all mankind eligible...Lets make "god" less sadistic by letting him "sacrafice" his only son to save man..well I can go on and on about the contradiction all throughout the bible without even reading it. So Kirk & Banana are just doing "god's" work...so was hitler, the klu klux klan, george bush jr, guys who bomb abortion clinics, and a bunch of other HATE MONGERS..but its cool cause they do it with jesus in their heart. OH MY..that was just too funny.

So, why don't we add 50 pages of SLANDER to the Bible and hand those out for free? It'd be pretty easy considering the fact that the Bible has all the incriminating verses we need for this endeavor...

He didn't, but it is a common creationist lie. Hitler was much more inspired by Martin Luther and the centuries of anti-Jew propaganda that the Catholic Church (to which Hitler belonged) put out.

I hope someone besides Cameron and Comfort films these being handed out and captures students' reactions.
Their main reason for doing this, that college kids are being denied Christianity by their atheist professors' brainwashing, is just laughable. He only cites the stats of biology and psychology professors as 61% atheist. Since most biology courses are two semesters in length, we'll say that this figure applies to 3 of a college student's professors. I'll even be generous and assume that the student takes an additional semester of psych, bumping the number of professors that Cameron is referencing up to 4.
Let's say on average that a student attends four years of a college, or eight semesters, with five classes per semester for a total of 40 classes. Out of the 40 professors that this student will encounter, we will say that 4, or 10%, of them are the biology or psych professors that Cameron is referencing. So 61% of 10% of a student's professors will report themselves as "atheist" or "agnostic." By my math (which is admittedly quite unreliable), that would leave only 6% of a student's professors as reported atheists.
But Cameron, pulling on those acting skills he honed as the illustrious Mike Seaver, screws his face up in anguish and repeats the terrifying figure of 61% and its evident result of a doubling of atheism among students.
I will let the pope facepalm this one for me.
