I have been watching the extensive promotion of the attempt by Nik Wallender to walk a tight wire across a portion of the Grand Canyon  The drop is 1500 feet and the length is 1400 feet.

In the course of interviewing him, he made the statement that before he attempts the walk he will be praying with his family.  My question is exactly what is he praying for?  If it is to keep him safe, well, there is an obvious answer.  Don't do it.  Do you expect to put your life in danger and then expect this god of yours to keep you safe?

If this is not the height of insanity, I don't know what is.

Any comments?

Maybe he'll have a parachute on his back. I highly recommend it.

This is just a follow up after he walked the wire.  Quote---“How I love you, Jesus…You’re my Savior, yes Jesus…God, you’re so good. Thank you for this opportunity. Calm these winds in the name of Jesus.”

I am speechless.

Of course, God could have calmed the wind before he asked for help.
