Is there a future for the GOP?
I've said elsewhere that this was probably the last election where the Republicans stood a real chance of gaining the American Presidency with a program that mainly appeals to prosperous suburban whites and holds little appeal to most women and almost no appeal at all to racial minorities.
If the GOP is to survive, what do you think it would have to look like? What could it possibly look like?

Texas' petition supposedly be addressed by Obama tomorrow - I'm thinking, trade 'em for the Philippines, that way we can keep the same flag and get rid of that dead weight at the same time. Let King Rick rule it - THAT'LL teach us a lesson they'll never forget!

Puerto Rico actually WANTS to be a state. I propose an even exchange: give Texas back to Mexico and give PR statehood. Everyone will be happy!
