Is Atheism a "disease"? Can atheists & believers co-exist?

On Saturday, I frequented Twitter, as I usually do, to get away from the stresses of college life. Lizz Robbins (@Lizzs_Lockeroom) stated that

Atheism is a disease of the soul before it becomes an error of understanding. @Lizzs_Lockeroom @Oakaveli89 Atheism is nothing more than extreme self loathing disguised as intellectualism

you took the words right out of my...text box.
well we can't co-exist when believers try to shove their point of veiw of the world down non believers throats.
Religion and small mindedness are the disease, critical thinking and reason are the inoculation and the cure. This vaccine is known as Atheism and there is no doubt in my mind it will eventually wipe out ignorance just like small pox is no longer a real concern for 99% of the world.
Have you mentioned to them that their hateful remarks have convinced you that religion is inherently wicked and dangerous?
I have. She blocked me with her self righteousness!!!
Wow, her Twitter page is *totally* Christian. Jesus loves boobies.
LOL. Pure Christian hypocrisy!!!
No, sorry, that was me. Just go take a look at her profile. :-)
I actually love me quite a bit. But not Jesus so much.
But with Jesus is different. It's not a religion, it's a relationship. :p
any two groups CAN co-exist in theory...but it becomes problematic upon either side trying adamantly to shove their ideologies down the freakin throat of those holding opposing viewpoints.
