I have Safari, but most usually, I use Firefox - haven't used IE in years! Is Netscape Navigator still in business? I have an old copy tucked away somewhere, but I doubt it's any longer supported, I should probably find and toss it, and clear up some space.
I think the real problem may be, that working, as I do on my website, I keep SO many tabs open at all times, so that I can find reference material when I need it, that it loads down the app, it also fills up my cache very quickly.
I use Chrome, but IE is much improved.
I wish Netscape was still supported. I used it for a long time. If I recall it was bought by AOL who used some of Netscape's tech for their own browser before they were bought by Time/Warner.
Oh, yes.. the multiple tabs will do that. I have the same issue at times.
It's all moving too fast to keep up with who owns what.
I believe the multiple tabs are the problem, but closing all those pages and finding them again would be FAR more of a problem.
I'll just limp along --
Isn't it a hoot when you discover someone who is still on AOL? WTF?!!!
I think all browsers nowadays allow one to choose whether new pages open up as new tabs or new windows. Am I wrong? Certainly Firefox and Chrome do. IE as well, I believe. And many of the alternative browsers are built on other platforms. K-Meleon, Avant, Sea Monkey, Maxthon, and a few others. I believe Opera was designed from the ground up. Those are windows browsers. A little research will turn up a few for Macs as well, I'm sure.
Great video, and if you follow it to its youtube page, there are some remarkably well informed comments below. I can highly recommend reading them...
