How do you talk to your kids about death?

Ask them what it was like before they were born. Ask them what it is like when they are asleep. That is what death is like. Death is just a part of the cycle. Everyone goes through it no matter what and so it is nothing that should be feared. 

Do you have to? I grasped the concept pretty much on my own pretty early on.

I’m sorry I don't visit this site often and didn't see these posts! I have a five year old that has a lot of questions about death. I feel that being honest with him is best. I am not sure who has been speaking to my son about god and angels. I am just preparing for my son to be brought up in a religious world. I was just looking for someone to share their experiences/tips with me.
