In the fall of 2009 I googled for information on Gobekli Tepe.  It happens to be one of the oldest monuments/structures of civilization ever found, and news of it really shook the foundations of anthropology.  One of the top listings was a great blog about what the Gobekli Tepe site meant in terms of the history of civilization and religion.  In the comments section the ideas were flying back and forth and I wanted in to the discussion so I created an account on the site.  That site was this site, ThinkAthiest.com!  Now, a year and a half later, I'm a very active member.

So, how did YOU come to find ThinkAtheist?

I've been reading discussions on here for quite some time now. I have recently joined after the realization that I had to talk to like minded individuals, or my head would end up exploding lol (I live in the bible belt)

I followed this link, I don't know where from:

Possibly from JesusFetusFajitaFishsticks

I found ThinkAtheist by a friend of mine who knew I would easily be addicted to it. He doesnt visit the site often though. I want to be an active member.

I was checking out a friend's page on FB and in the sidebar it recommend the site. I became a member, but it was a few months before I became as active as I have been. .

Long Answer: I have been typing in "Religious Debate" in Google for quiet some time and have watched many many enjoyable debates. Eventually this link led to that link which led here.  I am very happy to be here.  and look for much more interactive LOGICAL discussion.

Short Answer: God led me here ;-)!

Well, on a rainy morning in Janurary of this year, in a moment of bordom, I was just looking around you tube.  I found a strange video about something called a 'Hitchslap'......... 3 or so hours later I happened on a video that mentioned Think Atheist.  I finally got around to getting on some websites to make comments.

I clicked on the wrong link searching for porn.

A Christian friend of mine on FB posted something about what Atheists believe. I made a few comments and he suggested that I read the book "A Case for Christ". So I looked for reviews of the book and found one that was written by a member here. I checked out the site a bit, loved it and joined a couple of days ago.

Google <3

I was an early member (first week) of AtheistNexus. I was dissatisfied with moderators there and Googled "atheist social networks". That's how I found ThinkAtheist.

G O O G L E.

I found it randomly upon Stumble Upon. Which is the idea I guess.

By the way, Heather is awesome.
