In the fall of 2009 I googled for information on Gobekli Tepe.  It happens to be one of the oldest monuments/structures of civilization ever found, and news of it really shook the foundations of anthropology.  One of the top listings was a great blog about what the Gobekli Tepe site meant in terms of the history of civilization and religion.  In the comments section the ideas were flying back and forth and I wanted in to the discussion so I created an account on the site.  That site was this site, ThinkAthiest.com!  Now, a year and a half later, I'm a very active member.

So, how did YOU come to find ThinkAtheist?

DuckDuckGo led me here while searching atheist

...I typed the word 'atheist' into Google.

Yes, I'm lame.

Johnny!

Johnny?

Sorry.  That was vague and cryptic, wasn't it?

Surfing the web out of boredom, I stumbled upon a blog titled "Heaving Dead Cats", or something to that effect, and Johnny was a regular commenter there.  In one or some of his comments, he linked back to T|A and I thusly discovered the wonderful world of T|A.

Stumbleupon.

Kept landing on pages from here and found the website very interesting and well done. Couldn't resist joining!

The only other site I REALLY wanted to join was the "Flat Earth Society" only because I think it is HILARIOUS!  I even think they may be REAL!  It's amazing what you can find!  And what people can delude themselves into thinking!

I just "stumbled on" to this site. Glad I did.

I was looking for science/anti-religion oriented videos and documentaries, I kept on accidentally clicking this same link and decided to look around. I was pleased with what I saw and signed-up right away.

I found think atheist while I was on reddit.com.

I've been reading discussions on here for quite some time now. I have recently joined after the realization that I had to talk to like minded individuals, or my head would end up exploding lol (I live in the bible belt)
