Hello all! I signed up a little while ago now, but never really got round to using the site (I'm so organised and proactive and etc) until now!

I guess I'm supposed to say a little bit about myself in this post? So here goes; I am a fifteen year old english geek, I spend too long playing computer games and watching videos of people playing the same games. I play the saxophone, read books, attempt and fail awfully to write stories (I used stories because I felt the term "books" was a slight overstatement) and I ramble. As you will have noticed already.

Anyway I'm @ETheEnglishGeek on twitter if you want, for some crazy reason, to follow me. Also I have a blog in which I write shit everynow and then under the address: http://thingsedthinks.blogspot.co.uk/

If you've read this far well done. :D

Hey Ed!  Welcome to Think Atheist :)  We value young members like you, you represent the future hope for humankind.  Glad you joined up!

No pressure then :P

Welcome, Ed - former sax player and current avid reader myself, and I do have a couple of books in the works. Hope you're here to contribute, not just to plug your twitter account and blogsite --

Yeah, I'm here to do stuff (Hopefully)

So Ed, what is the general consensus among your fellow teenage geeks as to the plausibility of supernatural beings?

And welcome aboard....

Well from the people I know it seems atheism is generally the trend where I live. I have I think 3 religious people in my form (Class) of about thirty. All of my friends who are good at science and maths are 'devout' (:P) atheists.

I take it you're not from the south. Three out of thirty is a lot of atheist. I'm fond of saying shit like, "World domination? The three atheist in downtown Brooklyn are not capable of world domination"… Guess I'll have to raise that number a little.

Welcome...

Were you a religious person before you decided that reason was the ticket?

I gather he's from the UK.  And he's saying 3 out of 30 are theist, not atheist.  So it's 90 percent atheist or don't-give-a-shit-about-the-issue, combined.

Well I'm from the UK, it's not a massively religious country anyway and I live in an area that is not an exception to that. Like I said, that's as far as I'm aware. I think there is like one catholic, two muslims and a hindu? May be one or two christians so I think the number of theists may be closer to 5 or 6 out of thirty.

And no I was never religious.

Ramble on. Welcome!!!
