I'm Diane from New Hampshire.  I seem to be surrounded by evangelical Christians and, being open about my atheism, am constantly barraged by the annoying things they do.  I long ago abandoned being apologetic for not believing in their god and I am not out to debate them.  I remain true to myself and try to relate to the people behind the rhetoric.  After all, some of these are people with whom I must interact on a regular basis.  

It does get a bit tiresome though.  I am amazed at how they think I am on the fence and just need some assistance to find Jesus.  What they fail to understand is that I am not in the market for a god.  I know their indoctrination dictates they have to convert others, and I do secretly take some pleasure from continuing to not believe.  It irks them so.
