Sorry if there is a thread that exists about this, but I'm quite new, and haven't had time to check the message boards too thoroughly. If it does exist, just point me in the right direction and I'll take my business there.

  There's been a lot in the press lately about the ritual of religious cirmcision. As a proponent of freethought and a general hater of cruelty to children in general, I was delighted to here about the German governments plans to ban religious circumcision. My elation was somewhat short lived, however as a couple of days ago, this article popped up in my RSS feed, telling me of a complete U-turn in their proposals. This disgusted me. Just when I thought things were moving forward.

Really I'm just wondering if this decision got to you as it did me? Or are you even opposed to religious circumcision?
