Hi friends of think atheist,
You definitely have heard of this news last Monday..
France Enforces Ban on Full-Face Veils in Public.
Sorry if this has been discussed before...but It's important to hear the atheists opinion on this matter.
VÉNISSIEUX, France — France on Monday formally banned the wearing of full veils in public places, becoming the first country in Europe to impose restrictions on a form of attire that some Muslims consider a religious obligation.

I'm very interested in hearing people's opinion's on the ban..
So, what do you think?
Yes, nothing like meeting foreigners in your own country as well. In my past 10 months of working in restaurant kitchens where I'm not actually fluent in the local language (French) I have worked under a Dominican Chef (Spanish first language), German Chef, Hungarian first cook, Vietnamese second cook as well as alongside a Chilean cook, French cook(not-Quebecois but specifically French), Iraqi kitchen helper (Muslim and proud), Swiss Chef de Charcuterie, along with a lot of Quebcois people. Currently I am hoping to go to work for an Italian chef.
The Iraqi fellow has been a good acquaintance, although he has made it clear that he is mostly interested in me because he has never imagined a woman who wouldn't hesitate for a second to express her opinion - including his mother. He can't imagine that I have traveled alone for over 20 years, ending up over 5,500 km from where I grew up. He is even more amazed that my trip last spring covered over 3,500 km in one direction, which he said was about the same distance between Bagdad and London. And to think that I did all of this while being geographically isolated in one country, whatever that indicates.
You are actually going to stick with the concept that fewer borders equals geographic isolation? You suggest that an evaluation of the statistics might prove your point but you don't even look them up? When I look up stats for you, you just dismiss them as not being adjusted in a way you might hope and then suggest I'm dismissive?
So, wow, you are travelling to another part of England - how very worldly of you. I guess this is just your way of saying you can't address a single point raised against your position. Obviously we won't see you back here for months.
