Permalink Reply by mvitaminx on April 23, 2011 at 8:39pm I have thought of it more in the light of first comes 'religion shall not impinge on the freedom of others,' this does include those citizens of that religion or any belief system which is antithetical to a countries laws which at least in theory are in place to be the founding sources of reason and secularism.
However, I hold no qualms with impinging on the so-called religious freedoms, which uses the primary momentum of the god concept exploit along with byproducts stemming mostly from our sense of "I" (the ego), that we at least now know enough to possibly save us from ourselves.
All it took for me was to finally become capable of accepting that for all intents and purposes they do believe in their god construct and the religion it road in on. In our special way of acquiring the ability to surrender, not even intentionally mind you, enough ability for loss or crippling error detection to the susceptibility of objectively and subjectively blatant pieces of information that chip away and ultimately refutes the keystones of what supports the belief system as truth.
Taking that into account, they wield more than a book with words of an absolute truth. Instead they do that cherry-picking loveliness, allowing for them to be self-deceptively selective as to which tenets fit their needs, not to forget this includes influence factoring from our upbringing, cultural and society.
Therefor,
If they wave a book around as their beliefs, that book represents their dominate source of ethics and what they lens reality through, making them accountable to the claims being made.
Imagine if their was to be a "religion," created with the notion there is no god thing. That we are this proverbial god thing in respect to we decided there is such a thing as right and wrong, and we have access to fully utilize this knowledge.
What is written, in a declared by us a source book of what is right and what is wrong, once put into production is never permitted to be considered for change, let alone actually making the modifications.
Now, with this Religion, how much would we tolerate adherents to it, if it were even remotely like the Quran or Holy Bible?
What I am presenting is to remove the god concept from the Quran. How well would the inerrant words that declare females lesser, enough that we have permission to beat them if they do not obey the book. That they are to be subservient to males in all the glorious ways the Quran and Hadith lay down who is is in charge...
Anyways, just some banter that reared from from reading your reply. I lack the time at the moment to address the other bits you mention.

Permalink Reply by Hope on April 19, 2011 at 2:40pm I support the French government I myself am still suffering from this full-face veil...
As a wouman I'm a second-class citizen who does not have an identity card becuse of this veil..
I was forced to marry someone who I never seen befor...
A simple example of the side effects of this full-face veil...,
Saudi girls there in my country are virgins who have terrible fear of marriage and they look at sex as something scary and man are like monsters, that's why you see the high divorce rate in Suadi Arabia....
This was a part of the hidden truth.
and btw, I still wear the this full-face veil... of course forced to wear it..

Permalink Reply by Hope on April 19, 2011 at 3:00pm LOL Mo,
Try walking down any U.S. street naked and see if they don't.
I do not know what made you say that!
But yeah, I agree with you Mo, I'm not against chastity btw,,
We can not say girls should walk naked on the street or you girls should wear the full veil..
The girl herself knows what's the best for her,,
and she can protect her virginity without the veil.
Ex, You trust your wife and you love her okay..there is no need to impose her to wear a long skirt.. I'm I right?
