First God:

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

King James Version (KJV)

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with ,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God

The Holy Bible: King James Version. 2000.

The First Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the

Corinthians

7

1

Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

2

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

3

Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

4

The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

5

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

6

But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

7

For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

8

¶ I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

9

But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

10

¶ And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

11

but and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. Mt. 5.32 ; 19.9 · Mk. 10.11, 12 · Lk. 16.18

12

¶ But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

13

And the woman which hath a husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

14

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

15

But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

16

For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

17

¶ But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

18

Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.

19

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

20

Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

21

Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.

22

For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

23

Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

24

Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

25

¶ Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.

26

I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.

27

Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.

28

But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

29

But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

30

and they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;

31

and they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

32

¶ But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:

33

but he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.

34

There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

35

And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.

36

¶ But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.

37

Nevertheless he that standeth steadfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.

38

So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.

39

¶ The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

40

But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

 Genesis 1 (King James Version)

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Now Jesus

1. And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ “and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?’” (Matt. 19:4.)

Questions: What did Jesus say about God’s creative work? Did He make Adam and Joseph? Did He create male and male, or did He create male and female? According to this passage, what has been God’s plan for sexual union [one flesh] since the beginning of time? Was His plan for a male partner to be joined to another male partner, or was it for a husband to be united to his wife? According to this passage, is a man to cleave to his male partner, or to his spouse?

Consider: Since Jesus approved of His Father’s plan [i.e., one man, one woman, one flesh,] could we correctly say that Jesus condemned homosexuality?

Beard envy, kOrsan, nothing more.

Im not a saint k0rsan ... Nate is a ridiculous and embarassing child and he even admited in his blog over there >>>>>>>> that he deliberately causes trouble .. So at least give me the pleasure of getting one in.

I dont know why you're condoning his behaviour.

It's just that he wasn't really trying to insult you in grotesque and heinous ways. He said you sound like a zealot or something I believe, which was probably just a way of him lightheartedly poking fun at you for quoting the bible at us. To be fair, I did have to look up your profile to see what your religious status was lol. But I doubt he meant to troll you.

As for his blog you're referring to, I think he clearly states he likes poking fun at theists, not here, and that he doesn't want to be an asshole or jerk. Even then he said he feels kinda bad or guilty. Please be fair too. He's a nice guy.

But of course I don't condone deliberately causing trouble, and any of my friends here could attest to that. I despise tomfoolery, trolling and the like, and I've talked to Nate about his reckless behavior before, even reaching out a hand should he ever need help in becoming a more socially functioning person. We all help him. Hurting feelings is not a way to make friends, but you need to cut him some slack, because you've probably hurt his feelings too. It's not nice to say things like he's "embarrassing us," considering that he's already trying a great deal despite the condition he's struggling with. Something like that hurts to read. I might've come of as a little angry to you before and I apologize for that, but Nate told you he's not a very bright person and he was referring to his condition, so please be the bigger person. He's a great guy if you get to know him.

So is arch by the way.

k - - (you're gonna damage my reputation --)

The jump off point into this thread: here.

Let me clear the confusion here. I approve of homosexual behavior. The reason why there are implications of sin it's because I like to confuse people and send them on wild goose chases.

Also people make stuff up about me in the bible. they didn't even meet me or wasn't even born yet when jesus was around!

I am reminded of this nugget.

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God’s Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination… end of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God’s Laws and how to follow them.

1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can’t I own Canadians?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual unseemliness – Lev. 15: 19-24. The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offence.

4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord – Lev. 1:9. The problem is my neighbours. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

5. I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2. clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination – Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don’t agree. Can you settle this? Are there ‘degrees’ of abomination?

7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev. 24:10-16. Couldn’t we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help.

That's not fair, I've always wanted to own a Canadian - even when I was a little hatchling, I used to ask my parents for a Canadian for Christmas --

Fronkey that is so old and tired...  These  things that get said and post here were going around 10 years ago ... Get with the times guys .. Im not hearing anything origional from any of you. Its the same stale argument from way back ,,, Its like your stuck in a time warp ...

I dont learn new things here  ...

I think you people should be ashamed of yourselves. You call yourselves atheists but you dont know basic facts about the things your arguing against.

You are not the sort of atheists who represtent me. Your a pack of mobbers.

I think most people here are nice but unfortunately Nate and his type let the place down...

I'm just not into your Old School style of aggressive atheism  ...

Then why are you here? Blaming us for your lame choices is just the clear sign of an abusive personality. I feel sorry for you more than anything else. The people here are great humans and you come here and trash on us. You are the one aggressively insulting people right and left.

I think you people should be ashamed of yourselves. You call yourselves atheists but you dont know basic facts about the things your arguing against.

What facts would that be?

You are not the sort of atheists who represtent me.

Good. None of the people here claim to represent anyone but themselves.

Your a pack of mobbers.

How so? Because people here are defending their view in a public forum, and the majority of the people commenting do not agree with you? No one here (aside from Heather, I guess) has tried to insult you first, insulted your appearance, called you any names, insulted your intelligence, unless provoked by you, so please stop playing the victim.

You came into a public forum, clearly not prepared to be disagreed with or questioned, and when you felt insulted, instead of doing the mature thing and taking it into a private chat where you can discuss your issues like adults, you call out the person in a public post, and then attack other people for commenting because the post is not about them?

I am glad we "don't represent you" because if we did, then I would feel ashamed.
