Oh, I'm not here to defend the US. But a lot of those guys had a habit of imprisoning or assassinating their opponents. So don't try to pass them off as angelic.
Where did I say or imply they were "angelic"? The capitalist/imperialist system is maintained through massive amounts of violence, everyday, everywhere. A socialist revolution is the destruction of the capitalist system and since power does not just yield itself over peacefully, it usually takes warfare to displace it.
