By now I think most of us have heard about the church that wants to burn copies of the Koran on 9/11. I usually try to ignore psycomaniacs but this time I decided to check out their website and see the real reasoning. I came across this blog titled "Ten Reasons to Burn a Koran". While reading it I thought it was both sad but funny at the same time. The reason it is funny is because all you have do to is exchange the words Mohammed and Muslims with the words Jesus and Christians and the claims still hold true. So in response, here are the ten reasons to burn a Bible: (follow this link to read the actual ten reasons to burn a Koran http://www.doveworld.org/blog/ten-reasons-to-burn-a-koran)
Before I start I just want to state that I do not think that either book should be burned. There is no need for immature disrespectful actions.
The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ, was Crucified, is the Risen Son of God, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and the Son of God, who was crucified (that ONLY Christians accept as a well documented historical fact). According to Islam, this teaching removes the possibility of salvation and eternal life in heaven for all Christian believers. They face eternal damnation in hell if they do not repent.
The Bible does not have an eternal origin. It is not recorded in heaven. The Almighty God, Creator of the World, is NOT it's source. It is not holy. It's writings are human in origin, a concoction of old and new teachings. This has been stated and restated for centuries by scholars since Christian beginnings, both Christian and non-Christian.
The Bible's teaching includes idolatry, paganism, rites and rituals. These are demonic, an ongoing satanic stronghold under which Christains and the world suffer.
The earliest writings that are known to exist about the Jesus were recorded 120 years after his death. All of the Christian writings are confused, contradictory and inconsistent. Maybe Jesus never existed. We have no conclusive account about what he said or did. Yet Christians follow the destructive teachings of Christianity without question.
Jesus' life and message cannot be respected. His leadership seems to have been religiously motivated and a search for the truth. But he believed that disobedient children should be stoned. They also led to political assassinations and massacres which continue to be carried out on a regular basis by his followers today.
Christian Law is totalitarian in nature. There is no separation of church and state. It is irrational. It is supposedly immutable and cannot be changed. It must be accepted without criticism. It has many similarities to Nazism, Communism and Fascism. It is not compatible with Western Civilization.
Christianity is not compatible with democracy and human rights. The notion of a moral individual capable of making decisions and taking responsibility for them does not exist in Christianity. The attitude towards women in Christianity as inferior possessions of men has led to countless cases of mistreatment and abuse for which Christian men receive little or no punishment, and in many cases are encouraged to commit such acts, and are even praised for them. This is a direct fruit of the teachings of the Bible.
A Christian cannot change his religion. Apostasy is punishable by eternal damnation.
Deep in the Christian teaching and culture is the irrational fear and loathing of the East.
Christianity is a weapon of Western imperialism and Christian colonialism. Wherever Christianity has or gains political power, Muslim, Jews and all non-Christians receive persecution, discrimination, are forced to convert. There are massacres and Madras, synagogues, temples and other places of worship are destroyed.
As you see, most of the reasons can easily be reversed. On their website they claim that America needs to wake up. I would say he probably needs to wake up the most.
