I just noticed something, and it kind of makes me wonder... I know I have a long neck and whatnot, but it still seems that this idea of 'crossing yourself' ends up forming an upside-down cross on anyone who does it. Isn't that blasphemous?

In order to get the cross to seem correct, I'd think you'd have to have to go a little lower...
Kind of like this "In the name of the Father (touch forhead), the Son (touch your 'naughty bits'), and the Holy Spirit (Shoulders)."

Come to think of it, even motioning your hand toward your genitalia while saying the word 'son' seems kind of like subliminal messaging. Maybe it's the years and years and years of said messaging that causes priests to want to touch their parishoner's sons...
The inverted cross is a catholic symbol, it is called the cross of saint peter, he was crucified upside down because he thought he was unworthy to be crucified the way yeshu was.
Well, shouldn't the cross be about Jesus?
Oh dear you will offend the religious. Yet they seem to like to wear a symbol of their faith of a man being crusified horribly on a cross, whereas the photo I carry with me is of my father when he was alive and well, not of when he was deceased.
It seems sick to me to show a man suffering and saying this is perfectly ok.and if I get negative remarks when I wear my atheist broach this is the argument I will give.e
Ahh, ok. I didn't realize it was a catholic symbol. Thank you doone and Forrest, I stand corrected. I thought it was some kind of pagan symbol of some sort that Christians weren't too fond of. I may have just seen the 'Pet Semetary' movies a few too many times....
