Church and State separation is being requested by WHO?

I found a report on vjack's blog Atheist Revolution that in Connecticut, a most unusual enforcement of the separation of church and state has occurred.

It seems that a far right Christian organization, the Family Institute of Connecticut, complained about the state government linking to several gay-friendly churches on the state Department of Children and Families web page.

They were quite right that the links raised the question of separation of church and state and the promotion of a specific religion or religious beliefs, and should be removed. But one has to wonder...

Will this make them actually realize that separation of church and state is a good thing, or will they rationalize it away and insist that it's only good to separate the state from other religions/religious beliefs.
