I've been following up on the rescue of the miners in Chile. I keep hearing people claim this rescue a "miracle", repeating "how powerful is our God", and so on. Why are those 33 men still alive after 70 days underground? Did a supernatural hand dig a hole and sent food? No it was humans, experts who spend days figuring out how everything would play out. It was family, friends and fellow country man who kept in contact, sending their support. How great is that technology has allowed us to rescue these men after 70 days.
To me this is no miracle. This is prof of our intelligence and technology evolving, or improving. The important thing is, we are no longer conform with putting a cross outside a mine and saying "well, they are dead." It's a victory for humanity.
Why is "god" taking credit?

Permalink Reply by idcollapse Ra on March 2, 2011 at 5:53pm the funny thing is that a similar incident happened in my country just after the famous incident in your country !! nobody made it in my country not because people are not religious here , but because the government didn't even give it a try .... I am sure that the families ofthe victims gave credits to god for their loss , they must have come with some sort of excuse for 'the devine plan'.
