Hello! I am a college student writing on the impact of religion in society. Of course, the topic is broad, and I have to narrow it down. Here are my questions:
1. Can you give me ideas on how to narrow the topic to a ten page essay? My background: Immigrant living in West Texas (Bible Belt). The essay shouldn't discuss the veracity of religion, but its impact, whether it is on politics, society or the individual.

2. Now with topic in mind, can you give me research material that I can look into? Journals, books, essays, etc.

*If it has to do with Texas, or Texas' politics the better.

Thanks!

You could investigate the effect that Christian driven family planning policies have on young people in religious communities as opposed to less religious ones such as in liberal college communities and more liberal minded areas of Texas such as in Austin or the affluent zones of some larger cities.

Hmmm. I imagine a google search for Gov Perry's links to Dominionism would provide fodder for easily ten pages

A financial study, alone, would be interesting. Start out with the investment strategies of slick suited American Protestant mega-church preachers and wrap it up with insider data on the underworld activities of the Vatican Bank.
